What do you feel about the disruptions in the payment industry? What recent event / innovation inspired or frightened you?
I think the disruptions are just beginning and that we will see a lot of changes over the coming
years. I see threats and opportunities as two sides on the same coin. It is just a question of
focusing on the oppotunies side. The exponential growth in sales over the internet is driving
endless oppotunities for supporting industries, payments being a very important one.
When choosing a business model, what characteristics do you expect are the most important?
Long term vision and the ability to hold corse through good and bad times.
How do you envision the role of banking and processing companies in 5 years?
There will be more competition, lower margins and the essence of specialization will become
more important than ever before.
What skills do you feel are must-have for a decision-maker today and in the future in the banking industry?
Be more lean and fast to make decisions. Mistakes are natual, just never maket he same twice.
