What skills do you feel are must-have for a decision-maker today and in the future in the banking industry?

We have to make lots of decisions every day: some of them we make quite easy, others require much more efforts compared to easy ones. But in both cases Decision maker should exactly know that he or she:

- Has to take the decision (courage)

- Is ready to take the RIGHT decision (power)

- Believe in that on what he is going to decide and do next (responsibility).

Recently I found quote by David Starr Jordan, American Educator (1851 – 1931): "Wisdom is knowing what to do next, skill is knowing how to do it, and virtue is doing it".

And, I think, it was valid 100 years ago, still valid today and will be valid in the future.

How do you envision the role of banking and processing companies in 5 years?

The need for new financial services will require up to date technological development to provide solutions to satisfy growing these needs globally.  It is opportunity and big challenge both for banks and processing companies in this complex environment including recent high growth of new players as well regulatory requirements.

Hard to foresee what future may hold but I am sure – banking and processing companies are on board.
