OpenWay

Business Relationship Manager

Within the Sales Department my areas of responsibilities are Business Relationship Manager for
equensWorldline and Pre-Sales Deputy Manager for new sales. With more than 20 years of experience in Payment industry, more precisely in switching, authorizations and back-office, I endorsed different roles from operational support, technical architect, project manager, program manager and team lead.
My experience in Fintech started immediately after graduating from computer science and joining
Europay leader in authorization and clearing & settlement for the European region. Europay merged
with MasterCard and operational landscape became global.
In 2010 I joined OpenWay and discovered the advantages of the single platform concept and flexibility
of the solution. As program manager I had the opportunity to be involved in large projects and
successful implementations.

What do you feel about the disruptions in the payment industry? What recent event / innovation
inspired or frightened you?

PSD2 regulations will trigger changes within the conventional payment industry landscape and will open
opportunities to innovative solution providers.

How do you envision the role of banking and processing companies in 5 years?
- Alternative payment methods will replace gradually the card business. Banking and processing
companies shall be ready for new payment methods as mobile wallets, but with the capacity to
offer reliable and secure payment means.
- GDPR compliancy is utmost important topic to invest to avoid any kind of “data leaks” and allow
further cloud based solutions.
